A message from the chairman

Proposed chairman’s message — draft for approval

Art is part of Iraq’s memory and its capacity to imagine the future. Through Nakhla, we seek to create space for artists and strengthen the presence of art in community life.

Caring for artworks is a responsibility to their makers and to future generations. Our commitment to collections sits alongside support for emerging talent, exhibitions, and partnerships that open new possibilities for artists and audiences.

We welcome dialogue and cooperation that serve art and culture, and give artists greater opportunities to learn, work and connect.
